About Tgarid Ali
As an educator, I am deeply committed to providing my students with the highest quality of education. I firmly believe in maintaining an open line of communication with my students and responding to their inquiries with complete transparency. Teaching engineering, mathematics, and STEM in general demands special skills that extend beyond lesson preparation and explanation and involve engaging students and incorporating the curriculum into their daily lives.
My qualifications include a PhD in Civil Engineering, which has provided me with a broad understanding of various subjects such as pavement design, infrastructure, transportation, crashes analysis, road/highway safety, and much more.
My experience as an adjunct faculty member for Mathematics at the University of Detroit Mercy has further enhanced my mathematics teaching skills. I have developed a variety of materials including assignments, videos, and worksheets on Blackboard, created exams and quizzes, and provided my students with all the necessary resources to succeed.
Additionally, my role as a graduate professor for international students at TrineOnline University teaching project management has increased my experience in online teaching skills including Moodle platform, discussion forums, Cengage, feedback, etc. In addition to my high education teaching experiences both in person and hybrid, my experiences as a civil engineer have improved my civil engineering and leadership skills.
Interacting with a diverse community at different universities has strengthened my teaching abilities and expanded my knowledge of management, engagement, and relationship building. I am skilled in preparing lesson plans, considering individual differences, and encouraging students to develop their skills and broaden their understanding of STEM.
